A list of things I want....
Scott M 8’8" 5wt fly rod
Looks to be the slightly faster brother of the G2, haven’t cast one yet but would love to try.
From the Scott M webpage;
"A perfect all around rod. It balances lighter in the hand than comparable nine foot rods, yet
still has the casting and line control capabilities of its longer counterparts.
This rod
handles dry flies, nymphs and small streamers with ease."
Winston LT Five 8’9" 5wt fly rod
As with the G2, I used to have one of these. Goes very close to the G2 as being my favourite
5wt of all time. Maybe I’ve got a thing for rods with internal spigot ferules?
From the Winston webpage;
"The performance of these rods is unmatched in the category; an LT 5-piece is a great choice,
whether you’re hiking into a backcountry lake, going to New Zealand for a few weeks, or just
heading out on your home waters."
Fujifilm X-Pro1 Camera
Old school style with new school features, interchangable lens and 16MP sensor.
This camera takes me back to a time when I really wanted a Hasselblad XPan, the X-Pro1 and
18mm lens with hood certainly suits my photographic style, not to mention
the similarities to the XPan!
Campagnolo Bora Ultra 35 Wheelset
"Light enough to climb with the best, reactive enough to please the strongest sprinter and
efficient enough to shave seconds on the flats this wheel does it all. Increased stiffness, lower
aerodynamic resistance and increased stability in crosswind situations all in a 1.215g
package."
I’m sure I’d go faster with a set of these...
Garmin Edge 810
The touchscreen Edge 810 is designed for the cyclist who wants it all — navigation and
advanced training capabilities in 1 device. It offers connected features through your
smartphone, including live tracking, social media sharing and weather.
...There’s no better bike computer to guide your ride. Edge 810 is rugged, waterproof and has
up to a 17 hour battery life. The touchscreen is easy to operate, even with a gloved finger and
when wet.
Do I really need to upgrade my Edge 500? I’d love to.
